I build legal technology and teach the law that governs it.
I'm Vice President of Legal Innovation and Strategy at Clio. I founded Fastcase in 1999 and led it for twenty-four years, through its merger with vLex and on to Clio's $1 billion acquisition — the largest deal in the history of legal technology. I teach at Georgetown Law and the University of Chicago Law School, where my courses cover robotics, autonomous vehicles, and generative AI in legal practice.
